Filtration system is the 'heart’ and indeed by far the most important piece of equipment in the aquarium.
For this reason, CR Aquarium has spend over 10 years in R & D, perfecting such a system. We are proud to announce that we have designed the A.B.F.System which has been tested by the Maritime Academy of Singapore. (SP) to be an effective and yet an affordable model.
Bearing in mind, the aquarium is a'closed environment'., i.e. to say your fishes eat and defecate in the same space, an efficient filtration must not only provide the flush but also clear the waste. The A.B.F.System does just that!.
Unlike so many other types of filtration systems available such as mechanical, chemical, gravel, coral chips etc., the A.B.F.System is far more effective because it is a NEUTRAL system.
To put it simply, all other systems tend to CONTROL and ALTER the water condition in your aquarium. This is the result of the nature of materials used in its Filtrations. Whenever the system crashes, there goes your fishes!.

How does the Advanced Biological Filtration System works?
The most important function of the A.B.F.System is its ability to breakdown and removal of organic pollutants such as ammonia and nitrites using bacteria.
The A.B.F.System also incorporates 'gravity flow' principle. Unlike many other designs available in the market that basically 'flushes' the system, rendering bacteria cultivation almost impossible, the A.B.F.System does just the opposite.
The water flow gravity in A.B.F.System is reduced significantly by our specially designed rotating sprinkler mechanism. The large quantity of bio balls hold and trap minute water droplets resulting in an unusually high concentration of surface area on which bacteria can settle and remove pollutants by process of oxidation. The water gravity flow is then further reduced by bio-rings allowing more bacteria cultivation before it is returned to the tank.

Configurations of media required and size of the filtration tank has to specially formulated by our aquatic specialist to achieve optimum results.
Because of the NEUTRALITY of the A.B.F.System it is suitable for both fresh and marine set-up. No water change is required. Only the occasional water top-up due to water evaporation.
The other significant advantage the A.B.F.System has over all other filtration systems lies in its ability to create nitrogen cycle at a ratio of 10:1, wherelse all others can only achieve 1:1.
Most toxic organic pollutants cannot be visibly detected in water, so without an adequate, efficient biological filtration system like our A.B.F.System, your water could be crystal clear but deadly to your fishes.
